Hello! My name is Dakota, and if you happened to read my old
blogs, they were about upcoming albums and such. This series of blogs will be a
little different; I want to focus on artists, who aren’t very big. No specific
genres will be mentioned; only artists who put their souls into each song.
Also, I want to promote some of my favorite, smaller artists. We all know
Eminem, Mayday Parade, Metallica, but I want to expand your ears. Trust me, you
won’t regret listening to the artists I mention. Only my favorites make it and,
in both negative and positive ways, I am very critical of music.
This
blog will be approached in different ways. Opinions will be said, but not as
often. Facts about a band or musician will be used, or assumptions from their
lyrics. No negative reviews will be included. I will also include slips of
lyrics from the artists’ songs. Some of their best or deepest lyrics that I
have found will be included. Best songs will definitely be added in. Also, I
want to include a paragraph mentioning how you can find this artists music, and
a few links.
Anyone
who gives these artists a chance will not be disappointed. Each week will be a
successful one. Whether you are into a specific genre of music, the talent of
these artists will be undeniable. A lot of this music is calm, relaxing music. I am excited for my readers to get some new music to add to their phones, iPods, computers, heck, I don't care if you use a Walkman. Each post will be finished and up by Thursday or Friday, so make sure you tune
in.
